Memory of the place

‘Memory of the place’ case study: analysis of the memorial statue “Almaseera”, in the main square of Majdal Shams; a public art work created by the artist Hasan Khater in 1986. The workshop aimed to investigate the physical transformation of the public space as a code of social, political, economic and cultural transformation in the community.
