May Ziade - a workshop questioning creativity, suffering, gender and the Arabic Feminist Movement

A new workshop, with Amer Ibraheem, based on Pre-workshop readings and a documentary film about the life, creativity and suffering of the Lebanese-Palestinian writer, May Ziade, discussing the topics of the Arab feminist movement, and the complicated contexts that accompanied the biography of May Ziade in particular. The dialogue also touched upon questions and projections on the status of women in the local community.
